Arrival at Dalhousie. On this day local trekking will be done. Trekking to Panchpula will be done on this day. Panchpula is a nice picnic spot near Dalhousie town and its around 3.5 km from Gandhi Chowk. Its a nice place to spend some time in early evening time… There are some waterfalls, water-streams, tea stalls etc.
On the way to Panchpula is Sahasrdhara springs with refreshing water which is believed to contain some medicinal properties.
Night stay at Dalhousie.
Transfer from Dalhousie to Lakkar Mandi by jeep to start the trek to Khajjiar. Its a 10 km trek to Khajjiar which will take you through the forest path the forests are of deodar, oak and rhododendron. Khajjiar is also known as mini-switzerland. On this trek one will experience Lush green meadows , beautiful cottages and grazing sheeps.
Over night stay in the camps at Khajjiar.
Descent to Chamba through pines, deodars and small villages. As we walk further more pines start to appear as compared to deodar. View of wide open valleys and Pir Panjal range are panormic and breathtaking. Overnight stay at Chamba.
Chamba to Laxminarayan temple and museum and all other local sightseeing will be done on this day.
